The Best…..
Décor ‘N More is proud to have been selected as one of the top three finalists in the category of Best Décor/Floral Supplier in Colorado Meetings and Events Magazine’s "Best of 2007 Colorado Awards." Thanks to all of our clients and friends who voted for us!

And… if you pick up a copy of the book "Treasures of Colorado" at your local bookstore, you’ll find that Décor ‘N More is included for the "Best Set Design" on Page 32!

Vail Holiday Parade
It was a cold and snowy December day in Vail, Colorado. The truck left Denver in plenty of time, with chains ready, if needed, for Vail Pass. The flatbed trailers were parked and ready to be decorated. We brushed off the accumulated snow and began to assemble three theme floats for the Vail Holiday Parade – Winter wonderland, Penguin Party, and The Nutcracker. Small generators placed in the back of the towing pickup trucks provided power for hundreds of lights that illuminated the trees and accessories on each float. Children dressed as mice, penguins and snow fairies rode on the floats for this annual Vail tree-lighting celebration. The custom sculpted Nutcracker was created in our in-house production/art department.

Super Size It!
Décor ‘N More designed and constructed a giant screen surround to accommodate a 55’ wide screen and double podium with a plasma monitor for the annual Denver Metro Convention and Visitor’s Bureau Hall of Fame dinner. Producer Sheila Stack of Impact Productions developed the concept, in partnership with Décor ‘N More and CEAVCO.

Events at the Highest Peaks
Décor ‘n More partnered with Designed Events to decorate a wedding reception in a tent at the summit of Shrine Pass, Colorado. Fuchsia and tangerine were the bride’s selected colors, with the perimeter side rails and poles of the tent decorated with chiffon-wrapped panels. Groupings of white lounge furniture provided seating for guests, while a white baby grand piano was an entertainment focal point. The backdrop to the main stage featured tied-back chiffon panels. Oh, and did we mention the snowfield that we had to traverse to get to the tent site?!

The Democrats are Coming!
As most regional event planners know, Denver is privileged to be host to the 2008 Democratic National Convention in August. Venues, suppliers and planners are gearing up for the marathon number of parties that will be held in conjunction with this mega-event.

Décor ‘N More has a full range of patriotic-themed décor components -- from our 50’ wide hand-painted American Flag backdrop, to western conestoga wagons with stars and stripes tops. And, even though he technically wasn’t a Democrat, our 6’ tall three-dimensional sculpture of Abraham Lincoln will set a patriotic tone for any event!

Décor Tips ‘N Trends
The "lounge ambiance" is still popular, using solid white with bright colorful accents, such as fuchsia and tangerine, or lime and chocolate.
